A foot health practitioner is someone that provides routine foot care of common foot problems. They are usually qualified to diploma level. Treatments include toenail trimming and filing, corn and callus removal, prevention of fungal nail infections and diabetic foot check ups. A foot health practitioner role is to help prevent development of problems and to refer on for further specialist treatment with a podiatrist or GP if necessary.
